How to enable cash on delivery (COD)

COD remains a major checkout preference across the Gulf. EcomPilot treats cash on delivery as a first-class payment option alongside card gateways.

  1. 1

    Open payment settings

In the admin, open Settings → Payments (or your payments area). Locate Cash on Delivery among available methods.

  2. 2

    Enable COD for your store

Toggle Cash on Delivery on. Optionally set a minimum or maximum order value if you want to control COD risk on small or very large orders.

  3. 3

    Align delivery statuses

Make sure your delivery workflow includes statuses such as Pending, Out for Delivery, Delivered, No Answer, and Rescheduled so COD collections stay trackable.

  4. 4

    Test a sample order

Place a test order selecting COD at checkout. Confirm the order appears in admin and that delivery staff can update status after the attempt.
